For about four decades the Rabies Bulletin Europe has been a main source for rabies surveillance data in Europe. Every year, RBE issue were published on a quarterly basis both as hardcopy and as open access pdf. The last issue published was Volume 37, no 2, Quarter 2, 2013.
To take the changing situation in Europe into account and to follow the idea of transforming and further developing the RBE as a global information platform for rabies we will evolve the RBE into a global ‘WHO Rabies Bulletin’. The new WHO Rabies Bulletin is intended to cover e.g. scientific papers, miscellaneous articles, case reports, and rabies related news. We will shortly provide more information.
Parallel, the WHO rabies database for Europe will remain the pivotal tool for accessible rabies surveillance data.
