In the latest issue (2012/I) the first miscellaneous article by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control covers the World Rabies Day initiative that was started in 2007 and that saw events in 74 countries, reaching 54.3 million people worldwide.

The second article is an obituary for Jim Cox, a former staff member of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Rabies Surveillance and Research who passed away early this year.
